Gold and red necklace set

It's been a while since I posted in this space. I have been busy on a very special project that's taking a lot of my time, it's something big and exciting and I will share more details about it very soon in this space. Even with this busy schedule I have managed to make a few pieces of jewelry in this time,  but I  haven't had the time to actually take pictures, etc so I sometimes do not get the chance to blog about it.

Gold and brick colored Terracotta necklace set ~ Polymer clay necklace set | Bead Creationz

Here's one I made recently, with the main colors of gold and brick . I kept the design of the beads and the pendant very simple. For the matching earrings I decided to go with jhumkas/ jimkis/ Indian chandelier earrings instead of a matching miniature pendant design. Since the colors are so classic, this set really works with most kind of Indian dresses, salwars and sarees :)

Gold Clay ~ Terracotta Necklace

A while back, I made a clay necklace set  in a combination of a dull antique gold and maroon. I don't think I ever posted the pictures of that set in this space. Anyway I particularly loved that piece and even as I completed it, I thought I would love to try something with a brighter gold finish with both maroon and green in it.

Golden Terracotta Necklace | Bead Creationz

The combination of gold with maroon and green is such a classic one and I have seen so many dresses and sarees with this color combination. A couple of months back I finally got around to trying this color combination for this clay necklace. I kept the gold color more prominent , with just a little bit of the other two colors and went with an oval pendant for this necklace. It was a fun project, I hope to be able to make something similar with other color combinations soon :)

Metallic green and copper clay ~ Terracotta Necklace set

One of the best parts about working with clay is that for every project it is like starting with a blank canvas, there is no limitation on shape, size of beads or pendants making the choices for each project pretty almost endless and pretty amazing.

Metallic green and copper polymer clay set ~ Terracotta necklace set | Bead Creationz

Here is another one of the polymer clay/ terracotta necklace sets I made recently. I went with a metallic green , copper and black color combination for this set. For the pendant I went with a square shape but decided to use a round shape for the earrings. This is the first time I tried this kind of a shape combination and liked it quite a bit. This set works well with any kind of Indian dress like a salwar kameez or sari.

Pink and Amethyst Clay ~ Terracotta Necklace Set

As I mentioned in my last post, I have been working a lot with polymer clay ~ terracotta these past few weeks. I am totally hooked on to it, every minute I get,  I am either working on it or thinking up ideas for this type of jewelry. So far I am totally enjoying the process and have begun to get more comfortable with this style of jewelry making :)

Pink and Amethyst Terracotta Necklace Set ~ Polymer clay necklace set | Bead Creationz

This pink and amethyst set is one of the first ones that I have tried using silk thread for the necklace.  The thread makes the necklace very light and simple, making it perfect to dress up any simple top/ casual wear or Indian dresses like salwar kameez.

Pale Blue Agate Beads Necklace Set

These past few weeks I have made quite a few new sets, but when it comes to taking pictures of them, somehow I never seem to find the time to do that. Finally this week I started to take some pictures of some of the sets and I hope to have them all in this space fairly soon. I also have some rather big changes and announcements with regard to this space that I will be making soon. I am in the process of putting things in place and when everything is kind of set up, will let you all know about it.

Pale Blue Agate Beads Necklace Set

Moving on to this necklace, I had these really pale agate beads with me that I wanted to use in a necklace. I used them with contrasting navy teardrop czech beads and some silver toned spacers. This necklace is perfect for both casual and dressy tops or Indian dresses.

Golden Square crystal and wood beads necklace set

I've had these wood beads sitting in my bead box for quite a while and though I have used them in earrings and love how light and elegant they look, have never used them in necklace before now. The other day when I was planning a necklace with some square golden beads, I realized that the wood beads would look good along with them. So I made this very light necklace set with this combination.

I have also added some tiny golden rondelle beads beside the square beads. The design is very simple and the necklace is very light and comfortable. It looks good with any kind of casual top or salwar kameez set.

Multicolored crystal and carnelian beads necklace

Quite a while ago, I made a multi colored two strand necklace that I somehow never got around to posting in this space. In that necklace I used a combination of cool blues, white, lavender and other shades in the blue family of colors for the necklace. Since then I haven't attempted any other multi colored necklaces. Finally last week I made this set with multicolored crystal beads. I used a combination of light lemon yellow crystal beads, golden brown beads, olive green beads and red crystal beads.  I also added some carnelian rice beads to the design.

This is a very simple design, but it turned out well and looks very elegant.  The colors in this necklace reminded me of the hues of autumn :) This set is good to dress up anything from a casual or dressy top to a saree or any other Indian dress. Since it has a lot of colors it is easy to match this with so many dresses too.

Multicolored Black Crystal Necklace Set

As I mentioned in my last post, recently I got a chance to make quite a few pieces of jewelry. This is one of the necklaces I made. This one is made with a multi colored black crystal, in the sense the crystal is not just black, it has different hues of pink and brown and other colors in it.

 Black Crystal Necklace set

I am not sure the pictures shows the color of the crystal precisely but I really like these beads a lot. They are so pretty and these are the kind of beads that work with any color combination, so they are very versatile as well. In this necklace I used silver spacers to contrast with the black, but kept the design simple because the beads are so pretty as is, they do not need too much spacers and stuff to enhance them. This necklace is a nice way to dress up any casual top, tunic, salwar or even a saree. :)

Sandstone Necklace

Finally after quite a break from beading, I got a chance to start and finish a few necklaces recently. I have had some sandstone beads sitting in my bead box for quite a while now and I decided to make something with them. This necklace with both small and large sandstone beads is the result......

Sandstone necklace

There is something about the sandstone that I feel works very well with ethnic clothes. And in this necklace with the combination of sandstone and golden beads, it definitely works well for all kinds of Indian dresses/ sarees.

Blue metallic and teardrop beads necklace set

Sorry folks it's been a while since I posted anything in this space. It isn't that I am not making anything, it just happens that for my jewelry I am not good with taking pictures yet. Surprising isn't it? especially considering the fact that because of my other blog I almost always keep my camera handy.  Yet when it comes to taking pictures of my jewelry,  I somehow do not end up taking as many pictures as I should. Anyway I am working on taking much more pictures of my creations these days and hope to post here often. Here is a set I made recently....

Blue metallic and teardrop necklace set

I had some metallic blue beads that were sitting in my bead box for a while now and I wanted to use it in a necklace. Finally when I got some natural stone teardrop beads recently I thought of using both of these together in a necklace. I also added some red crystal beads for some contrast and used tiny gold beads and daisy spacers between each beads. Here is another picture of this necklace....

Green Crystal Necklace Set

After a lull when I hardly did any beading/ jewelry, finally this past week I got a chance to make something again. This time I made a simple crystal necklace set. I have been wanting to try this idea for a while now and I specifically purchased beads with this project in mind.

Green Crystal Necklace set

Its a very simple design really, just beads from a smaller size to a larger size, with some spacers in between. I followed the same theme for the earrings too, with one bead of each size with the largest bead at the bottom. I loved how it turned out, I am not sure the picture does this necklace justice, will try to get a better picture in the future :)

Teardrop pearl and jade bead necklace

Recently I purchased jade beads in a few colors that I wanted to use in necklaces. I bought some dark green jade beads and these purple jade beads. Dark green jade I used in this vintage/ ethnic kind of necklace with a pendant and gold beads. For the purple beads, I decided to combine it with some pink tear drop shaped pearl beads that have been sitting in my bead box for a while now.

I kept the design simple, did not use any pendants for this necklace. This design is quite unlike anything else I have done in the past.  It is so simple and elegant and has a very delicate feel to it that adds a touch of dressiness without seeming very overwhelming. This necklace has easily become one of my favorites :)

Red crystal necklace

Red is such a versatile color isn't it ? It just seems like everyone has at least one dress with red as a dominant color in it. In the same manner it seems to me that red crystal beads, or really just about any red beads always look beautiful. They match with a variety of beads and are great to use on their own or in combination with other colors.

This time I used red crystal in a very different kind of necklace when compared to the ones I have made in the past. This one has smaller beads on the top and larger beads hanging between the smaller beads. I have also used small copper and gold colored beads to add some slightly different shades to the necklace.

Green jade and golden crystal necklace and bracelet watch set

My mother in law has this beautiful dark bottle green sari that she wears often and I wanted to make a necklace to match the sari. After a little bit of search, I finally found some nice dark jade beads that I thought would look good  in a necklace. Since the sari which was kind of like an inspiration piece, had the shades of gold and green, I went with the same colors for the necklace.

 photo 6e370640-0433-4b4d-824a-84c9a5b9564d_zpsfeff24a8.jpg

The necklace is a very simple and elegant design, and once it was ready I decided to make a matching bracelet watch to go with it. Since my mother in law did not want anything with hooks etc, and wanted to just be able to slip on the watch I used a nice elastic stretch cord to make the bracelet and it worked out so well. Makes it real easy to slip it on and off :)

Teardrop necklace

Its been a while since I posted anything in this space. Sometimes I feel like taking pictures to post in this space takes more effort than actually creating the bead jewelry. In any case I hope to take much more pictures of my creations in the future and am hoping to post here more often.

In the meanwhile here is a picture of a new teardrop necklace that I recently made......

Teardrop bead necklace photo 09d00fe8-0361-41fd-a0ba-6b3d48cdd01a_zpsc9122e5b.jpg

Tear drop bead are such elegant kind of beads aren't they? I use a lot of teardrops in my earrings, but this is the first time that I have used tear drop beads in a necklace. I used a couple of different shades of round beads and teardrop beads to match on color of round beads. This necklace is definitely a little dressy, would be perfect for special occasions.

Green crystal Bead Necklace

This is the second time I made a necklace with a combination of green and black beads. The first one was this one that I posted a few weeks ago.Unlike the earlier one in which I used natural green jade beads, this time I used green crystal beads, so the entire look of the necklace is very different. Also I used a black rhinestone pendant in this necklace. The result is this somewhat ethnic, more classic looking necklace that I think will be perfect with any kind of Indian dress
