Clay jewelry has always been something I admired and it has been on my list of things to try for a while now. Finally in the last few weeks I got around to trying out some basic beads and shapes with clay and have enjoyed the process so far. This jhumkas (bell shaped Indian earrings) are one of the first projects I completed with clay.
I kept the design pretty basic this time since I was just starting out with this kind of jewelry. Painted the clay a nice metallic rhinestone color and used some rhinestone to add some contrast and border. I also added a small tear drop bead to hang from the center to give it that authentic jhumka feel :)

ReplyDeleteThanks Divya, glad you liked it. I usually work on these late at night so taking pics at that time for a tutorial gets a bit tricky. Will see if I can do one sometime in the future :)
